My gourds have lots of leaves and flowers and not gourds. It is growing over an an old step ladder.
An abundance of male flowers, with a lacking of female flower in gourds is usually an environmental issue. High heat, low humidity, shade, and underwatering can all cause these symptoms. Usually once the weather cools down, or humidity returns, there will be a better ratio of male to female blooms.
Alternatively, sometimes age plays a role here- Often, in a young gourd, male flowers will show first, and for quite a while before you see your first female blossom, which is attached to a miniature fruit. This is a waiting game. You just have to wait it out from here.

I'm in NY. I'm reading that south florida oriental farms grow ashgourd. Where can I buy/order it raw or juiced in the US? Extreme health benefits in yogic culture to drink it daily. Thank you for any help.
Sorry - we don't sell products or recommend specific retailers, but you may be able to order these from a local garden center. You may also find a source for them online through sites like Amazon.
how do i clean my gourd after wax is inside for drinking out of. I now im not suppose to use hot water.
Wiping with a clean rag, and rinsing with a mild soap and cold water will be fine! As long as the water is not hot, the wax will not dissolve.
It is advised to, only, use water in these canteens to avoid the need for harsh cleaning agents.
Here is an article for more information regarding turning gourds into canteens:
My gourd plants are affected by virus disease. I've destroyed all and need to plant new seeds. Before that I want to destroy the fungi and other uneant things in my land. For that purpose, shall I use hydrogen peroxide 50% for soil application?
If you have worked with anything over 33 percent, you will understand how badly that this stuff can burn your skin. Concentrated peroxide more than 33% is quite hard to come by, here, so do be careful. It can be deadly.
I would dilute it, first, to a 3 percent solution, then take that diluted solution and put that into and dilute it further.
So once you get your 50% solution down to 3%, you can use that 3% at 1/4 strength. for every 1 liter of 3 percent peroxide, you will use 3 liters of water.
The preferred method will be fungicides. They can be applied as a foliar spray, and soil drench. This article will help:

I would like to know if you can dry hedhog gourds as a whole fruit like other hardshell gourds for crafting and decoration .I saw someone mention it,in a gourdbook and would like aditional information. Also mentioned was the wax gourd .
Technically speaking, this is a member of the cucumber and true melon family, rather than a gourd. With this being said, it will act like a cucumber or melon and shrivel upon drying, unfortunately.
This article will give you more information on the plant:

This is growing better than anything in my garden and it's a volunteer . What is it? Is it a winter squash that I can eat ?
Gourds typically have a more irregular and bumpy shape compared to winter squash. They can come in various sizes, shapes, and colors, often with unique patterns or warts on the surface. Winter squash, on the other hand, generally have a smoother and more uniform shape.
Gourds are typically not edible and are primarily grown for decorative purposes. They have a hard and inedible flesh, and their seeds are usually not consumed. Winter squash, on the other hand, are grown for culinary purposes and have a soft, edible flesh.
To me, that resembles, more, a winter squash. the flesh will be, slightly, softer if so. You should be able to feel whether it has some give or not.
