The geranium leaves are going yellow and are being eaten by a bug. They are still flowering. It is autumn here in Australia. Should I prune them back? We do not get frosts in winter so they winter over outdoors. Some are in pots and some in the ground.
Yellowing leaves can be due to a few different issues.

Last year I bought some lovely variegated geraniums (apple blossom I think). I took some cuttings and have overwintered them in a cool, well-lit conservatory. They have bushed up nicely, but for some reason, the edges of the lower leaves keep turning brown and eventually falling off. They are starting to look leggy, and any advice you can give would be much appreciated. Thank you, Sandra Howard.
Here is what to do about leggy geraniums:

Hello, I notice here that you say geraniums are safe for cats https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/spaces/cat-friendly-garden.htm However, on other websites it says that they are toxic. https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/toxic-and-non-toxic-plants/geranium I am keen to keep my garden cat friendly, so would appreciate confirmation on what is the correct information. Many thanks Sue
The article you mention, list Scented Geranium as non toxic to cats.
Scented Geranium are actually Pelergoniums and are not related to Geraniums.
Geraniums are listed as toxic to cats, but not Pelergoniums/Scented Geraniums.
Can I plant the geranium in its original container into the bigger pot with the potting soil?
You will need to slip the growers pot off of the plant, then place the root ball and soil in a slightly larger new pot. Choose a pot 1 or 2" larger then the growers pot.
Use a good quality potting soil.

You may be overwatering and over fertilizing your geraniums. This article may help:

Also, when you water geraniums it is always important to water them at the soil and roots, and not get the foliage and flowers wet.
Hello Could anyone be kind enough to identify this plant. I removed it from my garden during renovation work, it's surviving well in a small pot and has just started to produce pink small flowers. It has dark green and deep red leaves and very hairy red stems. Many thanks Susanne
Thank you very much for your reply
It appears to be a type of Cranebill.
