I have WIND! If I wrap the fence around my garden with clear or slightly opaque moderate-gage plastic pallet wrap, will the wrap decrease or prevent the sun from getting to my plants?
It may slightly decrease the sunlight, depending on the degree of clarity of the material.

Other than the leaf curl up, plants look great
the leaves falling off ? All my leaves have fallen off except the very top.
This can indicate several things. Too much water, or rain can cause this, as can too little sun. Can you give me more information on your care of this tree?
Don't know how to send pictures, don't have a cell phone.
Most likely. Vines typically regrow after a shearing. Here is more information:

With all the rain of early this year, the lake has risen, leaving these trees under water. I noticed that allot of them have this pink stringy stuff attached. What is this?
I can't say for certain what that is. That is pretty wild looking. It would seem to be a fungus, though. If you can take a sample to your local extension service then they can help you to find out what it is. HAVE WHAT MY SISTER CALLS "BLACK SPOT FUNGUS". WHAT IS IT AND HOW DO I GET RID OF IT?
Unfortunately, your photo did not come through. I cannot say for sure whether it is or not. I can provide an article that we have. It will explain what this is and how to control it: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/disease/black-spot-fungus.htm
I appreciated Mary Ellen Ellis' article on pruning crabapple trees. However, there is one thing I hope you clarify. She says: The time for crabapple pruning is when the tree is dormant, but when the possibility of severely cold weather has passed. This means pruning should be done in late winter or early spring, depending on your local climate and temperatures. Can you be more precise about this? Does "severely cold weather" mean freezing -- 32F--or much colder than that, e.g. 20F? 0? -20F? (People like me who live in Minnesota may have a different sense of weather than people who live in more southern areas. For me, extremely cold temperatures means -10 or -20, but she might have had something else in mind.) Thanks for the interesting and helpful website.
She meant the severest part of winter should be over, according to your climate. You wouldn't want to prune in the middle of winter. The best time to prune would be the end of winter but before the tree starts to bud out in spring.
