I purchased a chemical with Sethoxydim as recommended; and sprayed a small portion of my lawn. My question is, how long does it normally take to see results of the torpedo grass receding? Thanks John Gilmore

Certified ExpertA.Make sure to follow all instruction regarding application and reapplication. You may need more than one dose to see results. Consult the instructions on the packaging before use in order to be well informed of the proper use of the product. Doing so not in accordance to the label can be illegal.
Alternatively, you can choose a non-selective herbicide to kill the entire area, and reseed or transplant plugs.

It conflicts with papers from two state university centers and the biggest supplier of Centipede sod in my area. You should never add nitrogen to Centipede unless indicated by a soil test.

Some people get impatient and want results, quickly. I would not recommend this, since it is unnecessary, but some people do have poor soils which will need to be fertilized, pending a soil test. This should ALWAYS be done prior to feeding, anyway.
