I have a one year old Celeste Fig. Has been growing fine all summer. There are about 12 figs on it now. We live in Eastern New York and I wonder how long can I leave it outdoors in order for them to ripen or can I bring it indoors and use grow lights? We usually have frost around the 1st of Oct.
Fig Trees are actually quite tolerant of cold, but not below 25 degrees!

Are Celeste fig tree root system ok to plant 10 feet from foundations and driveways?
7 to 10 feet should be perfect. Though they may not damage the driveway, directly, they may lift from underneath if planted any closer than about 6 or 7 feet.
