I have had a natal plum for 4 years shaped like a tiny tree. The foliage spreads from the top horizontally to one foot all around. In all 4 years it only produced one flower! Otherwise, it does well. How can I encourage flowering?
From May to October my Carissa plant gets to be on my deck with at least 4 hours or more of sunlight per day and it still does not flower.
This tree prefers at least 4 hours of bright sunlight per day. Increase the sunlight to help promote flowering.
A half strength general fertilizer can be applied monthly, except during winter.
Too much Nitrogen can cause lack of flowering.
