How to tell difference between calla lily rhizome and canna lily bulb?
The bulb, or more properly called the rhizome, is the heart of the calla lily and the location from where the plant emerges. Although not exactly a root, the bulb resembles a very large and thick piece of root from which all the smaller roots will grow out of once it is in the ground.http://www.callalilyguide.com/calla_lily_bulbs.html
My callah lily began to sprout in April after her winter's dormant period. She Now (May 15) has tall stems with beautiful leaves, but not blooms. She gets full sun on my porch in a container. Can I expect to get blooms this late in the season. If not, how should I go forward with her?

I started them from seed and they are about 2 to 2 1/2 inches tall. Do I pot them in a small pot and then plant in the garden. I just don't want the sun to kill them if they are too tender. I have them on the sunporch which has a roof and they get a little sun.
I would move the strongest seedlings to a bit larger pot and allow them a bit more time.
You should slowly harden off the seedlings to the outdoors.

I planted a calla lily a few years ago next to a peony and now the peony is overshadowing the lily depriving it of light and sunshine therefore stunting its growth can I move the lily now or should I wait till later in the year
I would move the Calla now, but you will need to be very diligent on watering.

My Calla lily has not bloomed yet, but it has huge heavy leaves with thick stalks. Not all the stalks are this way, but they are extremely heavy. And it has new growth coming up from the bottom every day. Should I trim these heavy stalks away? They are just shriveled and tired looking.

I bought the rizomes several months ago from Sam's and they have not come up yet i'm not sure if I've done something wrong or it's still too early they are in a large pot and have been indoors since I planted them I recently started watering them
Calla lily rhizomes should be planted no more than one inch below the surface. They won't successfully break dormancy without water and consistent moisture. So maybe you will see growth now that you are watering. As soon as there is evidence of growth, a sunny window is important. A minimum of 6 hours of direct sunlight is needed to produce flowers all summer. I don't know if I planted them too deep or not. Thank you
Make sure your soil is well draining and you are watering sufficiently.
