Hi, Lots of shoots have come up in my garden. They are extremely difficult to pull up and get rid of. I think they may be tree saplings. Can you tell me what they are from the attached pictures please? Hannah
It is very hard to say at this point. I am leaning towards Chelidonium majus, or what's known as Calendine. This is not certain ID. It is very hard to tell when plants are this young.

The local agricultural extension in your country will be a little more familiar with the flora in the area, however.
I have been struggling with eliminating this invasive plant - lesser celandine since moving into my home 3 years ago. My strategies have not been effective. It keeps returning each spring in my flower garden and lawn. Any wisdom would be appreciated.
