Should one cut Japanese Blood Grass back in the winter or spring? I cut most of my grasses back in the winter but could not find anything related to this on your website. Would appreciate your guidance. Thank you, Diane
According to my research, the best time to cut these back is in early spring before it shoots new growth. It is best to leave the growth on until then. Does the Bloodgrass plant need to be cut back or left alone?
It can be left alone, but I would recommend waiting to cut back until it starts to come back. This will give you the best results. Here is an article on the care of this: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/japanese-blood-grass/care-of-japanese-blood-grass.htm
