We have just purchased a garden animal and pest repellent that works with ultrasonic sound and a motion detector. However, we love our garden toads and don't want to repel them! Will the repellent chase them out of the garden? Thank you
I did not find any information on whether Toads are harmed or chased off by the ultrasonic sound.
I would call the customer service number on the device you are using to inquire this question.
I have 2 egg cases in a glass jar with a mesh lid. I came out this morning and noticed one baby has emerged. Hours have gone by and there is still only one baby. Will I get more? How long does it take for the rest to emerge once the first one makes his way out?
How cool that you have chosen to hatch Praying Mantis nymphs!
Keep watching your egg cases: there "should" and may still be more. This article from Iowa State University mentions that some eggs will not hatch at all. Be sure your glass jar is in the correct temperature for the best chance of all your eggs hatching.

This article provides some additional information on mantids:
Can nematodes be put in water that also has nutrients in it or will the nutrients hurt the nematodes?
My research shows that this should not harm the Nematodes.

I have dug up a a garden in my back-yard which is literally filled to the brim with huge earthworms but some of them are have white goo inside and it is being excreted in the garden. It is thick and bright white. If accidentally cut this is what oozes out also. Is this normal and is the garden safe to use? Trying to get as close to organic as I can in built up area. Thanks Jolene
Many worms will excrete "coelomic fluid" when they feel threatened, or when they are stressed by being too dry. The fluid can be yellow or white in different species. It is normal, although could be a sign that the worms are stressed.
After cleaning up my garden and cutting down some beach grass, I found a large praying mantis egg sac. I'm not sure what to do with it being that the grass is no longer there. I now have it in a plastic container that is vented, but I'm not sure what to do over the winter. Can someone please help me with this issue? Thank you in advance.
Here is an article that will help you with your little nest!

How old are praying mantises before they lay an egg sac. I have one that I found a month ago. I've been feeding her crickets and she just laid a few days ago and now I'm wondering if she will lay an egg sac because she is on her stick and habitat for the first time.
They are wonderful to watch and here is a link to a website with a bunch of information on them. http://www.theprayingmantis.org/ We had two egg sacks in our gardens this year and have seen many of them around the gardens this season as well.
Good Afternoon Whilst pruning my rose bush, I came across a number of these bugs. Can you please advise what they are and if they are poisonous? Many thanks Donna
That is a lady bug larvae, and will be a good plant companion. They are predatory and eat harmful insects to your plants. This article will give you more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/beneficial/ladybug-egg-larvae-information.htm
