Where can you buy the Kampong Avocado tree mentioned in your Gardening Know How article of April 4, 2018 in the Tampa Bay Area?
We don't recommend anywhere to purchase. You will have to check with your local nurseries, or an online one. They will usually ship to just about anywhere.
My avocado grown in water has been growing well and has sprouted about 7” already. However I discovered that the roots have white spot on it. What are these and how can I get rid of it?
Sometimes this is normal. A photo will help me to see what is going on, though. I would transplant ,this to soil immediately. This is about as long as you want to leave it in water. There are not enough nutrients in it to sustain growth. As the tree depletes the nutrition stored in the seed shell, it will require soil to keep it alive.

When a five year old avocado tree grown from seed has a large branch which is pulling it lopsided, should I cut that branch to equal it out so it is balanced? It is also the first time the tree has fruit. There are about a hundred pea size fruits, I think I need to remove the majority of them. Do I remove the entire froth that the flowers were on or just the fruits?
Pruning can be done after your fruit have ripened, usually mid-summer.

Why do the leaves of an avocado plant turn brown or look like there is rust on them?
Is this in container? This looks like a severe magnesium deficiency... Dolomitic lime will correct this. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/avocado/avocado-tree-growing.htm
I have a young avocado tree that is about 3 to 4 months old and about 12 inches tall, and currently in a 10 1/2 pot. It is kept outside in the pool area that is totally screened in and can get lots of sun. Recently I have noticed tiny pin holes in a few of the leaves and tiny white critters that can barely be seen that fly away when a hand is approaching or if I attempt to wipe them off. They are white, round and as tiny as the pointed tip of a pin and can barely be seen. I think they are responsible for eating the tiny round holes in the leaves. Can you tell what they are and how to get rid of then? Thank You F. Gatto Tampa, Florida

I have a plant in water 3 inch roots, and the stem is about 8" tall with 4 leaves, a person told me to cut the top off about 3" , I have never done that, won't that kill my plant or harm it , Thanks Ro.
It will not harm your tree in any way. Leaving in that water much longer will. You will need to plant this as soon as possible.
I, actually, prefer to top mine at 2 or 3 feet tall to make it easier to control as it branches out. You can cut it that short, but it will be very hard to manage later on.
