This plant seems to grow in full sun and semi shade and spreads rapidly.
You may have a good crop of green alkanet (Pentaglossis sempervirens) growing, but it is difficult to tell without the flower. Does it bear small blue flowers? There is a flower in the photo but it looks like it belongs to a different plant. It also could be a plant in the mint family, which can spread quickly. Does it have square stems and aromatic foliage? Here is more:
