Outside leaves drooping. Longer growing fine but hanging over pots. Pinch them back or what?
Here are some links to help you.
Make sure you are turning the plants to help them grow straight and not lean to the light.
You can pinch off leaves and propagate new plants.
Check watering and make sure you water from below the plant and water evenly. Never let them sit in soggy soil.

Repotted 2 months ago. Leaves proliferating but no blooms. Also moved to new home at that time. Inherited from a Gramma who knew how to care for them. I don't.

Filtered light, well draining soil and proper fertilizer are important.
Use a fertilizer that is specially formulated for African Violets, this will help encourage blossoms as to much Nitrogen will cause lots of leaves and no flowers.

I have an African violet (6 years old) that has what looks like stalk or trunk (3" tall). It's been doing great. The leaves started getting darker and sagging. Now it's just lifeless and weepy to one side. What can I do to bring it back to life?
Your African Violet has become leggy and is growing out of the pot.
This can happen if the plant is trying to move to the light or just the age of the plant.
If the plant is limp it may be from over or under watering.
You can repot the plant or even use the leaves to propagate new plants. This is a great way to save an old plant.

The leaves are turning brown on the edges and only on the outer part of the plant. Some of the leaves are turning a light green to pale green. I took those leaves off from the plant and threw them away. Should I have done that? Did I damage the plant?
African Violets are picky about their water. Use distilled water or allow the water to sit out on the counter for 48 hours.
Trim away the stems from the spent flowers.
Give the Violets plenty of filtered light and turn the plants occasionally to give even light to the plants.

I have a violet that is about 12 yrs old. It was part of a basket of various houseplants that have died off, but the violet has thrived. The original basket was rather shallow, and subsequently the root system of the violet, became a spiral and is now growing on an angle with much of the root exposed to the air but continues to blossom beautifully. I would like to know how I can salvage the plant and what can I do with the large root system?
After 12 years in the same pot the plant is likely quite root bound and has become leggy looking for light and nutrition.
You can start with repotting the plant and dividing the Violet if needed.

We bought our African Violet about a month in a half ago. It was blooming or bloomed. After a few weeks, all the flowers died off. It is winter here and the only window faces north. I've placed her under a florescent lamp bulb, 60 watt I believe, only watered her very little, since she was soaked when we bought her. She has been under the florescent light for about two weeks and her leaves are growing like crazy, but no flower bloom. Not sure what soil, if any, she is in right now. I was thinking of transplanting her into a slightly bigger pot with some Fox Farms soil that I used for other plants. I also have some Advanced Nutrients bloom, but haven't done that yet. Any ideas on why she won't bloom? Thanks

My plant is a mature plant. It has flowered many times. Now the leaves are drooping! I water from the bottom with luke warm water. It looks sad! What is wrong with my plant?
Watering from the bottom of the plant is the best method. Make sure the entire soil is wet, then allow the pot to drain.
Water again when the soil surface is dry.
If the soil seems soggy, you can carefully lift the plant from it's pot and check the roots. Healthy roots are white, if they are brown and dark; the plant may be suffering root rot.
You can trim away any dead roots and repot the plant in fresh potting soil.
Also check the underside of leaves for any pests that may be hiding.
You can wash the leaves to remove any aphids or scale insects.
