sycamore seeds

G’day from Australia.
I have a couple of American Sycamore (Platanus (occidentalis)seed balls and just wanted to know if the seeds are the hundreds of small little round things on the outside of the ball or is it inside attached to the stalk?
Thanks for your help.

I found an article with great pictures. https://naturewalk.yale.edu/trees/platanaceae/platanus-occidentalis/american-sycamore-29 [2]
The fluffy hairs can be irritating if inhaled. Wearing a mask is advised or shake/pound the seeds free in a paper bag.
