I have grown spinach through tip cutting, but It, more than likely, will not root very well from the base again. It is possible but it isn’t an effective way. Here is a link on their care: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/spinach/how-to-grow-spinach.htm [1]

Chard will, more than likely be the same way. There is a possibility that they will re-sprout, but it is best growing them from seed. Here is an article that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/swiss-chard/how-to-grow-swiss-chard.htm [2]

Sir, my perpetual spinach has produced healthy leaves for many months and is still producing some weak leaves, but now the base of each plant is growing tall, without producing any seeds. What should I do to get seeds from them?
