Suspected member of bird of paradise family

While holidaying in Thailand I saw plants in the garden that resembled bird of paradise but had six flowers at the end of stem instead of one that opens up. Can u please tell me the name of this plant and whether it grows in Australia?

This is a beautiful Heliconia plant.
As long as temperatures do not go below 40 degrees F, you could grow this tropical. They can be moved indoors during cold weather.
