Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI am making a small planting at the local library. Because of the problem of scheduling garden help, I am planting rudbeckia and echinacea. I need a sun tolerant border. Watering and weeding aren’t a problem. It’s just that the darned petunias need daily watering! I’d appreciate anything you could suggest. We are Zone 5a.

You might like moss rose. It is a nice drought tolerant annual and can be found in most stores that sell plants. If you are looking for a perennial, I would recommend looking at creeping sedums. While their flowers are not all that spectacular, they come in a wide array of colors to make up for it.
