Q.Suggested Banana Plant From A ‘transplanted’ Islander – Ie, HELP!
Having lived in Hawaii for many years, moving back to the mainland has been – – – shall we say, ‘very distasteful’. While in the islands, we always had an abundance of plumeria, pikake and bananas! We now live in North Texas, Dallas-Ft. Worth area, and are trying to find a banana that we can still grow year round. I am hearing there is something like a “Musa Cavendish Dwarf Banana” – please forgive the questionable name – I’m remembering but have the wrong name. This was said to be a banana we can grow inside – and out – and produces a good amount of bananas. Any help or assistance you can give us in the way of advise would be most welcome – and if you know of a really good tropical outlet that can mail to us – that would be most appreciated as well. Mahalo for your site.
