Except for compost type additives, adding products to the soil is not a good idea without first obtaining a soil test. Epsom salts was a thing even before the internet. It is now touted as a miracle cure on some sites. Magnesium moves very slowly through the soil and deficiency isn’t common. Too much causes problems. The amount of sulphur isn’t great enough to impact soil pH. The magnesium competes for absorption with calcium; too much magnesium and the plant can’t absorb needed calcium. There is no scientific evidence for using this micronutrient in the absence of deficiency. Thanks for asking. https://www.gardenmyths.com/epsom-salt-for-plants/ [1]
