Sudden Azalea Death

Extreme northeast FL. Azaleas planted closely together around oak trees. 10 years old. First one plant died suddenly. A year later, 3 more -not together – have turned brown over 2-3 weeks. All others seem fine. What’s to be done?

I would take a look at the roots. You may have some root rot. It may also be a fungus attacking the azaleas, so you should go ahead and treat the others with a fungicide.
