Succulent ‘Red Pagoda” appears to be ‘bolting’

My red pagoda has recently started sending out long shoots with non-traditional spacing on the long stalk. The shoots have not begun to fill in or take on red color. The plants are in full sun. The mother plants have produced small plants, identical to her with leaf stacking and obtaining color from sun exposure. Is the appearance of these long non-traditional shoots normal or a product of very, very small amount of fertilizing? In any other plant, I would call this behavior ‘bolting.’

Still learning my 176 succulents habits. Just began my collection this year with a purchase of 60 cuttings. The pagoda I purchased separately, just one plant. I now have eight plants that were true to the mother. The new babies are the only ones that appear to be bolting. Not all of the babies are involved in this odd (to me) behavior. Been quite concerned about this. Your knowledgeable assistance would be greatly appreciated. An example photo is not available at the time of this writing.

I believe this sounds like normal growing behavior from an indoor grown Succulent.
In a low light condition they will send out shoots with more spacing between leaves.
In fact in low light conditions they will even grow more quickly.

You can easily remove this new growth. Remove any dried leaves underneath the new rosette and use as a new cutting.
Cut the stem from the main plant.
Try adding more sunlight to your plant.

Strange or distorted growth can also be cause by insects or disease, so inspect the plant carefully to rule this out.
