Stunted Zucchini

First time gardener in Middletown, MD. My zucchini plants are not doing well all of a sudden. I had one or two nice zucchini and now the new baby zucchini are very stunted, only grow to the size of my pinky finger in length and width, and then they kind of just fall off. What is going on?
