Q.strong wind

Anonymous added on August 6, 2015 | Answered

My question is, what is your suggestion in planting trees in a windy area? It is almost 1000 m. high mountain and wind is around 40-60 kph. Its temperature is between 18-22 deg centigrade. My plan is plant pine trees. Thank you.

Growing anything under less than ideal conditions, such as harsh winds, is not an easy thing to do. That being said, it's not impossible either. In addition to the suggested articles above, you could try looking for native plants, as these are well adapted to the conditions of your area. In my experience, pine trees are normally not that well adapted to high wind areas and tend to fall quite easily.
