Stromanthe Plant\’s Leafs Turning Bright Green And Dies

Hello I hope all is well I have this beautiful Stromanthe Plant that was doing great and all of a sudden her leafs start to come very bright green. usually when the new leafs comes out it had this dark pink colour and it will take about a week for the leaf to fully open with light pink on top and dark pink behind. 2 weeks ago the new 2 leafs came out and they never opened. they came out and start to die! I cut them at the end and when I open them they were yellow with a lot of wrinkles around them. even the new leafs are having the same bright green colour and I kinda feels like its going to happen again. do you know what should I do? Test your soils for deficiency, or too much nutrients. If all tests well, there, then you can move on to pH. I suspect that the pH is off.

Once you have corrected both of these issues, then you can begin to diagnose fungal, or bacterial infections. This can be caused by saturated soils, or root damage. Make sure to let the soil dry, thoroughly, down to about an inch or so between watering.

Make sure that this plant does not get direct light. They are an understory plant that prefers quite a bit of shade.
