String Of Pearls Possibly Dying? Looks As If Some Of The Pearls Have Busted

Hello! So I recently bought a string of pearls, and I noticed that some of the pearls look like they have busted. A similar thing happened the first time I bought them, and they quickly died once this started. I am really trying to avoid that happening again. I don’t water it very often (maybe once a week, sometimes less?), and I would like to know if it is a issue with how much I water it or something else. Thanks.

This is an overwatering issue. Watering every week will be far too often fore this plant. They will not tolerate moist soils, and require long periods of dry soil.
