Stone faces

I have three small, stone faces.one has just died completely, but the other 2 remain. It says on the pot only to water when the leaves dry up, yet it says on the article not to water between fall and spring. Not sure what to do. Will I have new babies coming up? Thanks

They, definitely, do like a drier climate. They can tolerate quite a bit of drought, although they do like to be watered occasionally. If they remain watered for too long, they can get an infection, as well.

Here is an article on their care: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/cacti-succulents/lithop/growing-living-stone-plants.htm [1]
