Squirrels and Pussy Willow Trees

Can squirrels do lasting damage to my pussy willow tree? Squirrels have been eating the catkins when they open, voraciously, and there are few leaves on the far out branches. The tree is as tall as my house.

They probably cannot do enough damage to kill a plant that large, but it is frustrating to have the squirrels take the catkins. This article will help you with keeping them away:
