Squirrels

Question

I have squirrels destroying my vegetables (tomatoes, zucchinis, etc. ) even before they ripen. Is there a device or other means to safeguard the garden? I know there is a motion sensor that will emit a high pitched noise when it senses a cat, but will the same work for a squirrel?
