Spots On Leaves

We have a plant here in the office that is covered with brown or rust colored spots on the top side of each leaf. There are just a couple raised brown spots on the underside of each leaf. The top side is also sticky. Could this be aphids? If it is, can the plant be treated or does it have to be disposed of? I am assuming this is contagious to the other plants.

It is most likely scale (which is a lot like aphids). It can be treated, and yes, in the meantime it is contagious. These articles will help you:
