Q.Spindly Ceanothus. Small Leaves And Flowers.
What’s the best thing to do? Its near a wall,in a large container. Could it be frost? Or wind? Or age related?

I suspect it needs to be repotted. How long has it been in the same container? If it has been a few years, it probably needs a refresh. If you want to use the same container, you can prune the roots so the root ball will fit back in. Remove it from the container and brush off as much soil as possible. Add new potting soil to the container and replace root ball and fill in with soil up to an inch of the top of the pot. Water well. Fertilize if you have not this year.
Since it is still blooming, wait till it has finished its spring flowering. Then prune if it has not been pruned in years. Then repot and fertilize.
You may want to move it to a more protected spot as winds and frost can damage the tree as you suggested.
