Spiderwort

Question

Hello, I have two different types of spider wart in my garden. First plant has lighter green leaves and a more reddish purple flower and spreads like carzy. The other has darker green leaves and its flowers are more true purple and grows in clumps. I belong to a garden club where we sell perennials dug from our gardens each year. Other than calling these Spiderwart, I’d like to be able to truly identify them correctly. Can you help? Thank you.

There are many species of native spiderworts and cultivars, too, so it would be impossible to know for sure which ones you have. It would be helpful, though, on your tag, to label as Tradescantia, purple clumping form and Tradescantia, reddish purple running form.
