Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comAbout a year ago my mother-in-law gave me a portion of her spider plant. Through the spring and summer Charlotte grew wild and crazy, now during the winter she went yellow, limp and is now just about dead. My mother-in-law is dying of cancer, so my plant Charlotte is very dear to my heart. I’ve tried poking holes in the dirt thinking she wasn’t getting enough to drink. As you see, she’s still dying and rapidly. Should I pull out the plants and place in a glass of water or try transplanting what’s left of her? Please help me to revive my poor baby. She’s like my child, as I have no children of my own. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you may have.

Yellowing leaves can indicate a watering issue; too much or too little.
Make sure that the soil dries out in between waterings.
Check to make sure that the container or pot has adequate drainage holes, so the excess water can drain from the soil.
Always check the soil before watering instead of watering on a schedule.
