Spider Plant Care

I bought 2 huge and beautiful spider plants during the summer. They were so full and green and had lots of leaves and spiderettes on them. Lately they have been shrinking. The leaves are turning brown, and I’m cutting them out all the time. The spiderettes are drying up and turning brown as well.

I do need to repot them because the roots are coming out of the holes but I don’t know how to do this because I’m scared to kill them. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong or what I need to do? Every plant in my house is shriveling up and drying out on me, I don’t understand what is going on.

I have an African violet that was nice and bloomed when I bought it a few weeks ago and now all the flowers have dried up and I had to clip them. It looks horrible. Then I bought a big beautiful Poinsettia and it’s doing the same thing. I am so distraught by this. I feel like a such a gardening failure.

Please help me save these plants and be able to develop a green thumb. Thanks, have a blessed day.

A number of factors could lead to poor growth. Have you checked the soil for dampness, as they may be too dry? Also, the humidity may be too low.
