Spider plant

The leaves are going brown in the middle of the leaf. Its got an 18″ flower spike on and otherwise seems healthy just the browning of about 8 leaves in the middle of the leaf

Browning of leaf tips can be a normal trait with Spider Plants. If the plants soil is allowed to dry out, the leaves can crack down the center.

When watering, make sure you avoid watering into the crown of the plant.
This will help avoid fungus issues.
