Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a bell pepper plant in a raised bed and I noticed that where each branch extends from base, there is black. I planted these plants about two weeks ago. I did not start with seeds. Could this be a disease problem?

The plant could be in the early stage of blight-caused from a soil-borne fungal infection. It’s also more prevalent in poorly drained soils and humid conditions. If it’s just starting, fungicide may be helpful.
