Q.Something Is Chewing My Limbs On My Night Blooming Cereus

Zone Chesapeake, Virginia 23323 | Anonymous added on June 30, 2023 | Answered

Something is chewing all of my older stems on my Night Blooming Cereus!! What could it possibly be. I have had this plany for nearly 28 years. Last year I had 34 flowers on it at the same time. Plus a few 2 more nights. Something has chewed almost every older limb. I fear I won\’t have any flowers this year.😭😭

I am not finding any pests specific to night blooming cereus, but we have an article on pests of cacti. None of those seem like your problem though. Chewing on leaves is typically from beetles, slugs, or caterpillars. I will include information on those. Since it is on your lower leaves, it could be slugs.
