Q.Something ate around the stem of my dumb – cane how do I save it?
The plant lives in a pot outside in Florida. Except for the stalk, it looks healthy- still healthy leaves. When I was moving my plants I noticed the stalk is brown from about two inches up from the soil to about two inches below the first leaves-maybe 6 inches of brown dry stalk – looks like something was eating it. It is narrower diameter and still firm in this “eaten” area. Above and below are healthy green stalk. No sign of bugs or holes in leaves; plant looks healthy. What should I do?
