Q.Some Strange Insect, Small Shell-Like, Growing on My Fig Tree!
Last year, I started noticing small shells on my fig tree branches. At 1st I thought it’s lice, so I took a sample to the garden center. They said “it’s a THING that will suck the juice out of my tree and it will eventually die, ” and they gave me a product that I mix with water and apply to the roots. Apparently, they didn’t know what these shells are because it’s still there and multiplying. Can anyone help me, please? And tell me how to get rid of these shells or give me a name for it.
I would’ve posted some pics, but I don’t think I can on this site.

Your tree has scale bugs. Neem oil can help, as can the following info: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/scale-bug-how-to-control-plant-scale.htm
