Q.Some Pole Beans Reseeded Themselves In My Vegetable Bed. Should I Pull Them Or Let Them Grow?

Zone Indianapolis | BENOLLESTAD added on April 13, 2020 | Answered

I do not believe that they are heirloom, so I presume that they will not be true-to-type. Will they taste the same or terrible??? Thanks!

Almost all beans are going to remain true to type, since they are self pollinating. As long as you didn't have a bean species that you didn't like in your garden, then I would let them continue. You will be surprised to find a pretty close copy of the bean that it came from.
