Q.Soil Management
Most all of my plants require slightly acidic to acidic soil conditions. The soil that came with the plants is alkaline. If I use a fertilizer for acid-loving plants(e.g. ,Miracid, Plant Food for Azalea, Camellia, or Rhododendron, etc.) , will it work in alkaline soil? I’m trying to amend the soil with an organic acidifier, but the manufacturer (Espoma – Acidifier) says it will take 60 days for the soil to become slightly acidic. I’m also looking at displacing the existing soil with more acidic soil for Azaleas. I don’t want to use this fertilizer on my acid-loving plants if it’s not going to work. Thanks !

You still need to make your soil more acidic. The fertilizer is not a substitute for the lower pH.
