soil conditions

I sense that our garden soil is lacking something. Our vegtables are mostly stunted. We cannot grow radish or carrots. Our okra plants are maybe 7 inches tall with mini okras on them. Onions and garlic will not produce. The squash did well but our watermelon did not. We do have very nice flowers in most parts. The tomato plants did well in the same area that our morning glories did not look so well. What are your suggestions? We would like to remain organic.

I would recommend having a soil test preformed.
