Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a well in front of my house. My garden is in the backyard. It is more convenient to water the garden from the house. However, the house water is softened with salt. The potatoes and onions are ok, but the peppers and tomatoes turn yellow and wilt due to the amount of salt. My question is – will a garden hose filter remove enough salt to water from the house? I’ve ordered a filter but just don’t know if it will remove enough sodium.

I cannot say how well this filter will perform, but this article may be helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/softened-water-and-plants.htm [1] You could also consider collecting rainwater in a rain barrel for use in the garden.
