Do I have to take up my soaker hoses over the winter?

Some gardeners do and some don't. Taking them up and storing them will extend the life of the hoses. If you are in a climate where you have freezes during the winter, it is best for the hoses to take them up and drain the water to prevent freeze damage and other wear. They should always be disconnected from the water source during the winter.
