Q.So How Do I Help My Maple Tree That Has A Disease That Looks Exactly Like Your Photo

I live in Waterloo , Ontario, Canada, zone 5 my Maple tree is at least 30 years old last year Ontario had an infestations of the Gypsy moth and I am not sure if this is why our tree now has this greenish yellow bark and it comes off if you peel it. the leaves are like they are being eaten. How do we help the maple to survive Thank You

Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I do suspect that your tree has been damaged by the moths, though. They can leave behind some nasty infections. Fungicides, and preventing the attack in the future may be necessary.
