Snow Damage

Question

I have a palm or yucca tree, and all the leaves have been snapped off by the weight of snow, leaving just 3 stumps sticking in the air. Is it dead or will it throw off new leaves?

If the stem or roots are still alive, it will try to regrow. It may either grow new leaves or may try to sprout pups from the base.
