Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a four year old smoke tree. I live in Daytona Beach, FL area. The tree is about six feet high and all the leaves are green except for those on the very tip of the branches. They are curling and turning yellow to black. Also, this was the first year that the tree began to show its smoke and then the smoke dried up. Tree looks healthy otherwise. Any insight would be helpful!

It is probably a fungus, though there are so many, it is hard to say which one. Cut the affected branches off and treat the tree with a fungicide to kill off any residual fungus on the tree.
