Small White Moths

At night I get lots and lots of small white moths that look like they come from my yard soil in both the front and backyard. They’re everywhere and you can’t hardly be outside at night, as there are so many flying around at you. I feel like I’m going crazy. Are they some kind of small worm that turns into a moth as it matures? I’ve got to figure out how to get rid of them.

It could be either cabbage moths or whitefly. Both would look like that. About how big are they? That will help us figure out which one it is.
