Q.Small Plot
I have a mall plot of about 4 metres x 3 metres which I have kept covered for about a year now. I want to uncover , rotovate it and plant a lot of wild garden seeds. Do I need to to re energise the soil with good compost? When is the best time to do it and do I just scatter the seeds and let nature take over?

The plants will greatly appreciate a little boost from some compost. I would till it in whenever you are ready. As for when to plant- You will want to look on the back of the seed packs. There may be differences in planting times between different types of plants. Once you have an established bed of plants you will need to take a slightly different approach to adding compost. Any additions in the future will not be tilled in, but will be allowed to work its way in naturally.
