birds are destroying our screens to get to dead bugs

Birds are tearing into screens until they get access to dead bugs. I guess taking the screens off is one answer or washing out screens every day but I cannot drag a hose with me all around the duplex. I live in north central Texas. They eat into the night and are driving us nuts! Help!

You can try using sound or noise to deter the birds. I have heard of people using blinking christmas light strands to keep birds away.
