small apricots

This apricot tree is about 4 years old and all the fruit has been really small. Why and what can we do to get the fruit larger? It’s on a dripper system and gets well watered and fertilized.

Typically, this can be achieved through thinning. This article is about peach thinning, but it would apply to apricots as well:
